Ingredients

  • 1 (14 oz) can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 bag/box Sugar cookie mix
  • 1 egg
  • 10 TBSLP butter, split
  • 1 Apple (like Honeycrisp, Braeburn, or Jonagold)

Optional: cinnamon sugar

Instructions

  • CARAMEL: In a saucepan, melt 2 tbsp butter with the Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk over medium-low heat. Whisk constantly until the mixture turns smooth, thick, and golden brown. Set aside to cool.
  • COOKIE DOUGH: Prepare your cookie dough according to package directions using the remaining 8 tbsp butter and 1 egg. If you’d like, roll each dough ball in cinnamon sugar for extra flavor.
  • BAKE: Bake the cookies as directed, then let them cool slightly.
  • APPLES: While the cookies bake, sauté diced apples in a small pan until softened.
  • MIX & TOP: Mix the cooked apples with your homemade caramel, then spoon the warm caramel-apple mixture over each cookie.
