Instructions
- CARAMEL: In a saucepan, melt 2 tbsp butter with the Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk over medium-low heat. Whisk constantly until the mixture turns smooth, thick, and golden brown. Set aside to cool.
- COOKIE DOUGH: Prepare your cookie dough according to package directions using the remaining 8 tbsp butter and 1 egg. If you’d like, roll each dough ball in cinnamon sugar for extra flavor.
- BAKE: Bake the cookies as directed, then let them cool slightly.
- APPLES: While the cookies bake, sauté diced apples in a small pan until softened.
- MIX & TOP: Mix the cooked apples with your homemade caramel, then spoon the warm caramel-apple mixture over each cookie.
