  • Ingredients for caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 container Eagle Brand® Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • Ingredients for pie
  • 8 cup Apples or pears, cored and sliced, or banana chunks
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoon cubed butter
  • 3/4 cup CARAMEL SAUCE
  • 1 container store bought pie dough
  • 1 eggs

Instructions

  • Cube 8 apples about 1†to 1 1/2†pieces and add to a large mixing bowl.
  • Add the flour, sugar, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and lemon juice in the mixing bowl with the apples.
  • Stir to mix together.
  • Add to store-bought pie crust to a pie dish and crimp the edges.
  • Fill the pie with the apple mixture.
  • Drizzle homemade caramel sauce on top of the apples and cubed butter in between the apples.
  • Cover the pie with more pie crust. You can make a design or use cutouts
  • Whisk one egg with a fork and brush the egg onto the pie crust so it turns a nice golden brown.
  • Sprinkle sugar over the top.
  • Bake in a 375 degree oven for 1 hour. Cover the pie crust with tin foil or parchment paper if it becomes too brown.
  • Let it sit and drizzle more caramel sauce over the top!
